Converse recently launched a new advertising campaign, stating "Shoes are boring. Wear sneakers."

The Polaroid Socialmatic Camera

Do you miss Polaroid pictures? A new polaroid camera model can come up sooner than you expected...

The original purpose of instant cameras was motivated by Jennifer Land's question to her father (Edwin Land - inventor of  the first commercial instant camera): "Why can't I see them now?" Many people have enjoyed seeing their photos shortly after taking them, allowing them to recompose or retake the photo if they didn't get it right. But instant cameras were found to be useful for other purposes such as ID cards, passport photos, ultrasound photos, and other uses which required an instant photo.

With the advent of digital photography, much of the instant camera's consumer appeal has been transferred to the digital cameras, leaving instant cameras to a niche market.

But in 2014 things can be different... Check out these concept pictures:

Springtime by Jeriël Bobbe

Warm and sunny days are (fortunately) returning... and maybe we'll have a glimpse of summer...maybe...and if we do, how nice it would be to make a picnic? Or even better: how about a picnic and a nice bike ride?
Dutch designer Jeriël Bobbe, of Bloon Design, has the perfect fit for such program: "Springtime".
The concept of a picnic basket system, containing a table for two, chairs and plenty of space to store your food, cups, plates and cutlery. And the best part: it could be easily attached to a bike rack for transportation.

Pop-up Corner Light by Well Well Designers

The Pop-up corner light, by Well Well Designers, is delivered in an envelope.

The lamp is constructed from a sheet of paper, lined with polyphane. The paper produces a square, triangular or circular module when folded at a 90° angle.

Intended for the corner of a room, the lamp creates a luminous shape, creating indirect light, interacting with the architecture and can be used as reading light ir a bedside light.

It cleverly takes advantage of a space often unexploited in design.
